In a very real way, but also the darkness lying in the mix of heartache soft verse (‘we bleed!’) with violent machismo chorus (‘look! we’re still tough!’), or the impossible promise of forever love if you can just navigate the meet-cute, the obstacle, the epiphany and finally the grand gesture.

This ongoing series is a spin-off of the Last Hipster scenes from the previous year, deflated characters at the end of time or between uncertain eras, crashing into each other, tending their garden, unsure if they enjoy each other but clinging to romance as the world burns around them.
